When You Glow at Dusk on Convent Avenue

Near a Breezy River of Gardenias

was composed as part of Concrete Timbre's Covid-eo #2 - Pieces of 8 Project.

The spirit of this piece was inspired by the poem "even tho yr sampler broke down on you" by Ntozake Shange and it was composed for Contrafunktus: Rose Kow Xiu Yi  (Violin) and Jasper Davis (Bass Trombone) and a Looper. Video is by Beatriz Barreto.

During this terrible Covid-19 Pandemic, Concrete Timbre has been meeting (virtually, of course) with affilated artists to create short videos, new music, sound, texts, and images to share.
